Gold and other precious metals
We have developed patented technology for recovering precious metals gold, silver, platinum and palladium from a variety of printed circuit boards in an energy efficient manner. Using a small number of process steps, overall recoveries of high value precious metals were consistently higher than typical values reported in the literature.
High purity copper
We have developed a patented approach for recovering high purity copper foils from a variety of printed circuit boards. Key features include the recovery of high purity (81-97 wt.%) copper, small number of process steps, energy efficiency, elimination of toxic/hazardous emissions along with minimal local area contamination.
Rare Earth Elements (REEs)
We have developed a patented approach for concentrating (REEs) present in waste PCBs into small volumes, with fractional increases between 145 to 541%. Several REEs, such as Neodymium (Nd), Praseodymium (Pr), Gadolinium (Gd), Dysprosium (Dy), Terbium (Tb), Lanthanum (La), Cerium (Ce), are essential to the manufacture of key electronic components. China’s share is presently around 95% of the total REE production in the world. The availability of REEs to enterprises outside China can be quite expensive, seriously challenging, a political issue limited by export quotas.
